The Research and Development of Ti-44528s Alloy and Its Application in Navy Diving Knives

Commissioned by a USA wholly owned enterprise in China, the new Ti-44528s alloy is a titanium alloy developed for cutting tools. It is a meta-stable β titanium alloy that integrates with 8 alloying elements. The navy diving knives made of this β titanium alloy and by multi-step aging and other processes are of extreme sharpness, which have many advantages, such as corrosion-resistant, and lightweight. The properties are:σ≥ 1650 MPα,σ0.2≥1600 MPa,α5％≥4％,HRC≥ 50.
