Interference Suppression in GNSS Receiver Using Space-Time Adaptive Processing
Antenna arrays with space-time adaptive processing (STAP) are commonly used in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) to suppress interference in spatial domain as well as temporal domain. Digital beam forming and nulling are viable means of adaptive algorithms for interference suppression. According to the characteristics which GNSS signals power is far less than interference signals power and both are uncorrelatcd, a novel adaptive algorithm is proposed. Firstly, it produces null in direction pattern based on subspace orthogonal projection in order to suppress strong interference. Then, this algorithm process interference-free signal adopting STAP weight which obtained by maximize C/N0 of post-correlation signal. Simulations demonstrate that using our adaptive algorithm, STAP can effectively suppress the strong interference and enhance the tracking performance for GNSS receivers.
