Adaptive Algorithm of Cluster Head in Wireless Sensor Network Based on LEACH
LEACH (low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy) is one of the popular routing protocols for WSN (Wireless Sensor Network). Cluster head selection algorithm and the inequality of node power consumption are unreasonable disadvantages, thus an energy saving method LEACH-IMP is proposed based on LEACH. All nodes are divided into fixed clusters (In essence, the fixation is relatively). According to the distance from the cluster head members of cluster nodes adaptively join cluster. MATLAB simulation proves that the improved routing protocol is effective for overcoming non-uniform energy consumption in nodes which is due to random cluster head selection strategy in LEACH, thereby extending the lifetime of the network.
