Folksonomy - based Library Information Organization in China
Web2.0 is a socialized new network model that emphasizes users participation and interaction and has brought new opportunities into the development of all walks of life. Libraries have a wealth of information resources, so how to provide interactive information services for users is our concern. Folksonomy is a system of classification derived from the practice and method of collaborative creating and managing tags to annotate and categorize content12. Libraries introduced Folksonomy timely to encourage users to participate in the information construction of libraries actively. In China,Xiamen University Library, Shanghai Library and other libraries had tried to apply Folksonomy to achieve the revelation, review and valueadded functions of resources. Because the vocabulary used by Folksonomy is uncontrolled natural language, it lacks the standardized control in the description of resource. This paper optimized the library Folksonomy by using thesaurus and post control. As a new method of information organization, Folksonomy needs to be improved and used better in library work.
