Research on the Relationship between Perceived Organizational Support and Organizational Commitment: Evidence in China Context
Many studies show that a good organizational support can form a positive organizational commitment. Taking a water company for an example, deep analysis of the relationship between organizational support and organizational commitment was carried out. The empirical results show that three dimensions of organizational support including leadermember support, job satisfaction, and instrumental support on the affective commitment have a positive influence, of which leadermembers support and tools support have a significant positive effect on the normative commitment, and both of little difference. The level of job satisfaction will not affect the behavior of employees to comply with organizational norms, but will have an negative impact on the continuance commitment. The paper further analyzes labor relations management measures and means, which would form organizational support, providing alternative ideas for stateowned enterprises in the reform process to maintain harmonious labor relations.
