The UK Climate Change Risk Assessmeng:analysisi of the water sector

The UK is in the process of undertaking a major assessment of the risks posed by climate change. This will inform the development of a programme of adaptation by the UK government with the aim of providing clear leadership in the way the UK responds to a changing climate but also building adaptive capacity across all walks of life in the UK. The coverage embraces a wide range of sectors and risks that may have environmental, social or economic consequences for the nation. As the work is still ongoing, this paper outlines some preliminary results obtained from the pilot study based on the Water Sector.
