Practice and Thinking on the Management of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu
The Yangtze River is known as the mother river of China. Jiangsu province, located in the lower reach and the estuary area of the Yangtze Basin, serves as the gateway for the Yangtze River to the sea. Based on the knowledge of the Yangtze River, the river regime evolution and the management experience in Jiangsu, the current situations of the river s development and management were deeply analyzed, concerning the socio-economic development demand, the hydrological regime change and so on. The counter measures and suggestions are also put forward.
