Insights into the Questions of River Regulation in the Middle and Lower Yangtze River
The sustainable development of economy and society along the middle and lower Yangtze River brings out a new and higher demand for flood control, navigation and water resources utilization. The need for the utilization of river bank line increases fast. The more advanced the economy is, the greater the need is. The paper summarized the status quos of river regulation and bank line utilization in middle and lower Yangtze River. It analyzed and expounded the substantial problems occurred in river regulation and bank line utilization. The threads and key topics on demand were put forward to study the river regulation in middle and lower Yangtze River and the controlled conditions for bank line utilization and countermeasures.
