Study on Cumulative Impact of Developmeng and Utilization of Riverbank in Branch Section of Shiye Alluvion upon Flood Control

With the branch section of Shiye Alluvion on Zhengyang reach in the lower reaches of Changjiang River used as the study object and by integrating the natural field data of the riverway and the solid model test, the cumulative impact of the riverbank development of Changjiang River upon the flood control of river reaches is discussed in this paper. On the basis of nearly 20 years of water level analysis of the riverbank prototype, the comparisons are made in this paper with regard to the water level variation at the same flow in this reach in two different stages-the short-term stage and long-term stage in the same water level station. The result indicates that the cumulative impact degree of the groups of water projects approximates the model test. The impact of the riverbank projects of various kinds upon the water level in the reach is by no means the simple superposition of the impact of each individual water project upon the flood control. The result of such study is of great significance to the rational development and utilization of the riverbank sources of Changjiang River in both theory and practice.
