CATALYSIS AT NANOSCALES FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE SOLAR CELLS
Solar cells as a renewable green energy resource have attracted considerable interests, which include organic, polymer and dye-sensitized solar cells due to their prominent merits such as light-weight, low manufacturing cost, and direct conversion of solar energy to electricity. Since the cost per watt of a photovoltaic cell is inversely proportional to its power conversion efficiency, it is very critical to improve the relatively low power conversion efficiency for large scale commercialization, and is greatly dependent on the catalytic performance of electrodes.
