Development of 20 kW Energy Storage System based on Vanadium Redox Battery
Some efforts had been devoted to design and research the VRB energy storage system with the power of 20 kW, which consist of the all-vanadium redox flow battery (VRB), the Energy Storage Monitoring System and the Power Conversion System (PCS). The all-vanadium redox flow battery (VRB) was made up of three 7.5 kW stacks by external serial. The experimental data show that VRB energy storage system exhibits the stable output performance, the maximal energy efficiency 52.28% under the current density of 20 mA cm2.
