THE APPLICATION OF FUEL CELL ON THE SURFACE VESSEL
The fuel cells are used as power plant because it has such advantages as high efficiency, simple structure, low emission and low noise. This paper analyses the feasibility of fuel cells used as power plant by comparing the characteristic parameters of the fuel cell with the parameters of the diesel engine and gas turbine. Besides, this paper also puts forwards the main technical problems of the fuel cell applied on marine power plant from the practical point in comparison with the foreign development tendency. With the development of technology, both the materials and manufacturing processes of fuel cell would have been refined, and the fuel cell will gradually become the surface ships main power plant for its unique advantages.
