DOPING OF POLYANILINE BY SULFURIC ACID AND RELATED APPLICATIONS FOR DSSCS AS COUNTER ELECTRODE
Counter electrode is one of the most important parts for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Improving the performance of a counter electrode is an effective approach to enhance the energy conversion efficiency. Usually Pt is used as the counter electrode because of its high conductivity and high catalytic activity for ∣3‐l‐ redox reaction. However, Pt is very expensive and deficient, which has restricted the commercialization of DSSCs. Therefore, much attention has been paid to conductive polymers. Among all conducting polymers, polyaniline (PANI) is one of the most promising materials for DSSCs because of its easy synthesis, low cost, environmental stability, and good catalytic effect.
