ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE CATHODE MATERIAL BASED ON MODIFIED MANGANESE DIOXIDE FOR RECHARGEABLE LI-ION BATTERIES

Although not as abundant as the classic water pumping method, electrochemical energy storage has advantages of high efficiency and cleanliness. Power sources combined with the sources of renewable energy give possibility of the surplus energy management. Their application in electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles in order to replace fossil fuels is also prospective. Developed recently, lithium-ion batteries (LIB) comply best with the modern requirements due to their high capacity and energy density, long cycle life, and the absence of memory effect.
