TIO2-B NANOWIRES DECORATED CARBON NANOFIBERS WITH SUPERIOR ELECTROCHEMICAL PERFORMANCE AS THE ANODE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERIES
Due to the high energy density, lithium ion batteries have become an important energy system for demanding applications such as electric vehicles. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is being considered as one of the most promising anode material in LIBs, as it possesses high energy density and fast charge-discharge capability. However, the TiO2 anode material is greatly hampered because of the poor electronic conduction network due to aggregation of nanopowders and loss of particle connection during cycling. Here we design and fabricate a nanostructured composite that can significantly improve the lithium ion battery performance.
