LOW ENERGY OFFICE BUILDING DESIGN IN HOT-DRY REGION OF YAZD CITY IN IRAN
The main idea of this sustainable building is originated from globular form of sun. In solar building globular shape the crusts are opened in order to act as solar panels to receive solar energy. Shape and direction of skins relative to globular indicate absorption and conduction of energy as a cupola inside of skins from center of globe cause to setting globe in direction of sun, so main core receive solar energy. In this office building that is located in hot and dry region of Iran in Yazd city, Qanats(subterranean canals) and conduction of these canals into building in basement and first floor, by using bridge like water canal under shadow from proper vegetation, it has been tried to change hot wind contacted with water into cool and humid by surface evaporation for passive natural ventilation of interior spaces. Mentioned facilities accompanied with green roof, movable opening between two oval skins of roof caused to ventilation and flow inside hot air, meanwhile PV panels installed on south faced of skins provide 38% of required solar power and in total create a green office building in which air conditioning system integrated with architecture.
