A CRITICAL REVIEW ON SOC IN BATTERIES
Accurate estimate of state of charge (SOC) is the difficulty and keystone especially for the battery energy storage system .In this paper, a critical review of the available literature on the major state of charge issues for batteries was presented. Specific attention was paid to the inner-elements and outer-elements of batteries. Impact factors, such as the effect of polarization effect, internal resistance, the material of anode and cathode, temperature, charge and discharge rates, selfdischarge and other factors on state of charge were dissculed and the mutual relation of factors were explored. Ampere hour measurement, internal resistance, open circuit voltage, Discharge test, neural network and Kalman filter were taken out. From the view of economy and practice, it drew a parallel between the existing methods of SOC estimation.
