USING VORTEX TUBES TO ASSIST THE COLD START OF DIESEL ENGINES

摘要：

Using and production of diesel engines have increased significantly in last two decades, due to their improved technologies, higher torque and engine performance characteristics. However, there is still a negative behavior of this type of engines; cold starting problems. When the temperature of ambient air and engine cylinder block closes to 0 °C, engine starting is difficult due to the decrease in the spray characteristics, increase in the ignition delay time, the increase in the viscosity of engine oil and decrease in the battery performance.
