NAFION FUNCTIONALIZED CARBON BLACK AS SUPPORT OF CATALYST FOR FUEL CELL
We report a new synthesis method for the preparation of high-performance Pt electrocatalysts on carbon black. In this method, Pt nanoparticles are deposited onto nafion functionalized carbon black by Ionexchange method. The catalysts are extensively characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The TEM image show that the active components are highly dispersed on the carbon black with a particle size of 1.0~2.0nm.
