Microstructural observation and tensile properties of ODS-304 austenitic steel
ODS-304 austenitic steel (pre-alloyed austenitic powders+0.35 wt.% Y2O3+0.5 wt.% Ti) wasfabricated by the process of MA and HIP. Forging was applied to samples for improving ductilityfurther. Microstructures of both MA powders and compacted samples were characterized by XRD,SEM and TEM. Tensile properties were tested at room temperature and 700 . Fine oxide part℃ iclesenriched in Y-Ti-O or Y-Si-O were observed. At 23 ℃, UTS and elongation of the HIPed samplereached 940 MPa and 24.5% respectively. Samples showed much better ductile performance afterforging while there was little decrease of strength properties at the same time.
