Numerical Simulation of Heat Transfer Deterioration to Supercritical Water at High Mass Flux in Annular Channel

In order to ensure the safety of operation in Supercritical Water-Cooled nuclear Reactor (SCWR),heat transfer deterioration (HTD) must be avoided. In this study, mechanisms of the influence ofturbulence structure and fluid properties on HTD phenomena in annular channel at high mass fluxwere investigated. The results showed that HTD at high mass flux is mainly caused by accelerationeffect and the variations of fluid properties. Heat flux and the operating pressure also play importantparts in HTD at high mass flux.
