STEADY STATE AND DYNAMICS ANALYSIS OF A SUPERCRITICAL WATER NATURAL CIRCULATION LOOP

As a part of supercritical water reactor basic research, the stability of the natural circulationresearch plays an important role on the feasibility of supercritical water reactor and experimentalresearch. In this paper, a supercritical water natural circulation loop built by Department ofEngineering Physics, Tsinghua University was studied by numerical method. It was confirmed that thestatic or Ledinegg instability doesnt occurs in HACA system, and there isnt any instability existingwhen the inlet enthalpy is greater than critical enthalpy. Instability was observed, which is similar toDWOs and PDOs in two phase flow, and the system parameters and the boundary conditions influenceon the instability of supercritical natural circulation loop were studied.
