STUDY ON SIMULATION OF DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS AND CONTROL SYSTEM OF A SUPERCRITICAL WATER REACTOR WITH DOWNWARD FLOW COOLING
In this study, dynamic characteristics of a supercritical pressure water cooled reactor withdownward flow cooling are analyzed and a control system is designed. Modeling andsimulation of the reactor is carried out with RETRAN-02 program. Step responses againstperturbations are analyzed. Based on these analyses, a control system is designed. In thiscontrol system, power is controlled by control rods. Main steam temperature is controlled byfeedwater flowrate. Pressure is controlled by the steam outlet valve. Reactor behaviors withthe control system are examined. Results show that reactor parameters are controlled stablywith the control system against various perturbations.
