ELASTIC BEHAVIOUR SIMULATION AND INFLUENCE FACTORS ANALYSIS FOR DUAL DIAPHRAGM SPRING OF HIBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE CLUTCH
The structure of dual diaphragm spring clutch of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) is different from the traditional clutch, and more attention should be paid on the design of elastic behaviour. In the present research, the elastic behaviour and its influence factors of dual diaphragm spring are studied. Firstly, the structure of clutch for HEV is analyzed, and the finite element model of dual diaphragm spring is built, which takes the structural circular symmetry into consideration. Then, the loading and unloading processes of diaphragm spring are simulated, and the elastic curve is obtained, which is compared with the results by A-L formula and tests. Finally, a few contributing factors of the elastic behaviour of diaphragm spring are analyzed. It can be concluded that friction coefficient of diaphragm spring has greater impact on the hysteresis loop curve while the influence of the preload of bolt is less.
