SIMULATION ON INDUCTION HEATING OF LARGE ROUND STEEL BILLETS
Induction heating followed by quenching is usually used for hardening of the surface of metal products. To get a required temperature distribution before quenching is quite essential to this heat treating process. This paper focuses on designing an induction heating system for large round steel billets by using computer simulation, through which temperature distributions and system parameters under restricted technical conditions are calculated. The simulation results turn out to be satisfied referential values for designing a real induction heating system.
