FIVE-AXES SIMULTANEOUS MILLING SIMULATION BASED ON MACHINE TOOL MODELING AND SIMULATION DRIVER

Taking a CNC milling center as target, introduced are method, procedure and process of its geometrically assembled modeling, kinematical definition and simulation drive file configuration with software function Common Simulation Engine of NX7.5. The computer simulation process and result for 5-axes simultaneous milling of impeller by using Integrated Simulation and Verification for machine cutting motion are demonstrated. While each feed axis must relate to only one different component model, the techniques for their join up and kinematical definition should be highly respected, also techniques for junction of models of fixture, work piece and cutter onto machine. Modularization structure and integration of machining simulation with CAD & CAM lead to a high efficiency of software system.
