MAGNETOCARDIOGRAPHY T WAVE SIGNALS RECONSTRUCTION WITH SMOOTHED SPARSE CONSTRAINT

We present a smoothed sparse constraint that was used for the magnetocardiography (MCG) inverse problem for improving the performance of the Focal Underdetermined System Solver (FOCUSS) algorithm, which can be used for source reconstruction problems in magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG). In our new source reconstruction algorithm the smoothed sparse constraint is associated with the iterative FOCUSS procedure. We compare the performance of the new distributed sources reconstruction algorithm with that of FOCUSS algorithm by numerical experiments. The results from two sets of measured MCG data show that using constraint can force the inverse problem to converge to a sparse solution and escape from local optima effectively. Future work is also discussed.
