THE EFFECT OF BOS ABDOMINAL ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT ON DEPRESSIVE PAIN OF MENOPAUSAL WOMEN: A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL
This study aims to investigate the effect and safety of Bos Abdominal Acupuncture treatment on depressive pain of menopausal women. A prospective study was conducted in 60 appropriate menopausal women, divided into two groups by random: treatment group (Bos Abdominal Acupuncture Group) and control group (Deanxit Group), each group contained 30 subjects, treating 4 weeks and follow-up 4 weeks. Measure the effects with Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and measure the pain (arthralgia& courbature, headache, backache) with visual analogue scales (VAS). The total score of HAMD decreased in both groups after treatment and during the follow-up period compared with the score before treatment respectively, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
