THE MEDICAL FOUNDATION OF LASER ACUPUNCTURE AND MOXIBUSTION TREATMENT INSTRUMENT
Acupuncture and moxibustion is the essence of traditional Chinese medicine, it has made tremendous contributions to generations of peoples health for thousands of years. With the development of technology, laser acupuncture and moxibustion instruments appeared. They are combination of modern technology and traditional medicine, and make more people get benefits from the treatment. This paper mainly introduce the medical foundation of the laser acupuncture and moxibustion instrument. Making impulse of the nerve by laser irradiation in acupoints of the human body and regulating the body function through pathways of nerves, body fluid and meridian, it achieves the therapeutic effects. The direct thermal effect of laser expands the blood vessels, enhances the blood circulation and improves the metabolism of nutrients. At the same time, the stimulation effect of laser makes the human body maintains in a coordinated state by activating the immune system, dredging channels and collaterals, regulating qi and blood.
