CLINICAL REASEARCH ON THE TREATMENT OF SENSORY DISTURBANCES AFTER STROKE BY ABDOMINAL ACUPUNCTURE THERAPY
This study is to explore the influence of abdominal acupuncture therapy to sensory disturbances after stroke. Sixty cases were randomly divided into treatment group (treated by conventional therapy and abdominal acupuncture therapy) and control group (treated by conventional therapy), thirty cases in each one. Cases in control group were treated by traditional acupuncture, symptomatic treatment of medicine and rehabilitation training, while basic on those therapies cases in treatment group were extratreated by abdominal acupuncture which select acupoints sush as Zhongwan(RN 12), Jianli (RN11), Xiawan(RN 10), Qihai(RN 6), Guanyuan(RN 4), Shangqu (KI 17, healthy side), Qipang(0.5 cun outside Qihai in horizontal position), Huaroumen(ST 24, both sides), Wailing (ST 26, affected side), Shangfengshidian(0.5 cun outside and upside of Huaroumen) and Xiafengshidian(2.5 cun outside Qihai in horizontal position). All patients were tested by Barthel Index to assess the disability rate and by Fugl-Meyer to assess motor function of limbs(LFMM), sensory function of limbs(LFMF), joint range of motion(JM) and pain of joints(JP).
