The LAILAPS Search Engine: New Features

LAILAPS is a search engine for life science databases. The concept is to combine a novel feature model for relevance ranking, a machine learning approach to model user relevance profiles and user feedback tracking for a self-trained ranking improvement. Recently, we improved the performance of LAILAPS and added more functions such as page like this, query suggestion, online ranking optimizer, and an installation software for an all-in-one express edition. The system is available as a wizard style installation package for a user customized setup of individual search portals. Furthermore a number of pre-installed search portal for popular databases are available: http://lailaps.ipk-gatersleben.de
