Modeling of Multiphase Flow Distribution in Mani-fold With Gas-Liquid Separation
Numerical simulation was applied to study the two phase distribution of a new manifold with gas-liquid separation device. The commercial computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software FLUENT was used to predict the distribution. Three different new manifold structures were compared to commercial consecutive manifold structure. The simulation results showed that only one structure performed nice distribution under a certain operating condition. The other two structures showed worse distribution under the same operation. The perforated plate structure and operating condition have significant effects on even distribution.
