The Seismic Performance Analysis of the Overpass by the Traveling-wave Effect
With the rapid development of the cities, the construction of the overpasses is increasingly common, while the safety performance of the overpasses are drawing more and more peoples attention. China is a country prone to earthquakes, the seismic performance research of the overpasses would have to consider the space impact of earthquakes motion. Chinas current code of seismic design can not meet the seismic design requirements of the overpasses, there is not full consideration the space effects of earthquakes besides the time effects. This paper analyzes the structure bending moment of the overpasses under the traveling wave effect from the variation of the earthquakes.
