BLUEPRINT OF AN INTEGRATED MICROFLUIDIC GENETIC ANALYSIS CHIP BASED ON FEMTO-SECOND-LASER FABRICATION METHOD

Preliminary study of a microfluidic genetic analysis (MGA) system capable of accepting whole blood as the biological sample is presented in this work. A three-dimensional (3D) spiral vertical micro electromagnetic unit array and an air microvalve structure are integrated into the microchip. On-chip DNA purification using super-paramagnetic beads and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) processes can be achieved in this microfluidic system.
