Sound field and its characteristics induced by both optical force and Van der Waals force in two-nanosphere aggregate
This paper reports a two-nannosphere-aggregate system causes resonant scattering only derived from the combined action of optical force arrd Van der Waals force. Phononic bandgap can also be generated by modulate the interaction of the force and the structure. The most attractive opinion in this paper is that the optical force can break the balance of the two-nanosphere system with its own eigenmode. Then it makes the balls vibrate and generates a acoustic field. The phenomenon that lights can create sounds in nanoscale will be a new focus in this field.
