A NON-RESONANT VIBRATION LINEAR MOTOR BASED ON DISPLACEMENT AMPLIFICATION STRUCTURE
In order to reduce the effect of the mover surface roughness on the piezoelectric linear motor performance, a non-resonant vibration linear motor based on displacement amplification structure has been investigated. The moter structure was designed in which a lever mechanism was used to achieve amplification of the piezoelectric stack vibration amplitude. The stack vibration amplitude was amplified by the lever and then transferred to the two ends of the driving foot whose motion form an elliptical trajectory at the top of the driving foot. A prototype was made according to analysis of the operating principle of the motor. The experimental results show that in the frequency range 1300-2200 Hz the maximum thrust force of the motor is 0.3N , the maximum non-loaded velocity of the motor is 3.2mm/s.
