Food safety regulation and Governance - based on the tripartite game of regulatory authorities, government officials and food industries

Information asy mmetry ex ists in t he whole process of food safety sup ply chain in food market. There i s a game rel ation am ong regulatory departments, government officials and food industries in the protecting and supervising of food safety. The market equilibrium dep end on the strateg y of regulatory departments, g overnment o fficials an d f ood industries. Through the construction of triple static game models, th is pap er proposes th at we sho uld assess t he need/justification for food safety regulation, relationships between public and private food safety control system s, alternative forms th at p ublic fo od safety regulation can take strategic responses to food safety regulation, and the trade implications of national food safety controls.
