Pretreatment of Waste Fermented Liquid of Butanol by Flocculation
In order to reduce the environmental pollution caused by waste fermented liquid of butanol and recyle the high protein in it, inorganic polymer coagulants were used in pretreatment of this wastewater. It was demonstrated that poly aluminium chloride (PAC) was the best flocculant and the optimal conditions were as follows: pH neutral or alkalescent, temperature 40℃, flocculant dosage 1000 mg·L-1. After flocculation, the supernatant’s turbidity and COD could be reduced below 20 NTU and 10000 mg·L-1 respectively.
