The mechanism of producing energy-polarization entangled photon pairs in the biexciton-exciton cascade scheme
We investigate theoretically biexciton-exciton cascade in the strong-coupling regime adiabatically by means of classical Jaynes-Cummings model, and Non-adiabatically by employing the probability amplitudes method that is easier avoiding computing two-time correlation function to obtain the spectrum distribution than Born-Markov master equation method generally used. Through deriving analytical formulas for the spectra of the emitted photon pairs in the non-adiabatic process, a deterministic source of entangled photon pairs is obtained when optical modes detuning equals to the excitonic splitting with an opposite sign. When optical modes detuning is larger than the excitonic splitting, probabilistic sources of entangled photon pairs are obtained.
