Dependence of 100G PM-QPSK Transmission on Optical Filter Shape
Polarization multiplexing in combination with coherent detection is a key technology enabling ultra-high capacity for the future optical networks. This paper provides analysis of dependence of 100G transmission performance on the optical filter shape and shows how choice of a proper filter order can potentially result in simplification of a coherent detector and/or in reduction of transmission penalties.
