Photonic crystal fibers in biophotonics
Nanobiophotonics is the field of photonics related to the design and technology of manufacturing nanostructure devices for generation, amplification, modulation, transmission, and detection of electromagnetic radiation for the purposes of biology and medicine. Nanobiophotonics also deals with the study of physical and biochemical phenomena that determine the interaction of photons with nanoscale structures of tissues and cells themselves, as well as with designed structures at their connection with biological media.
