Displays, Light and Lighting Convergence and Leverage in the Industry

The lighting industry is rapidly adopting LED technology with clear opportunities to leverage high volume electronics industries like LCD displays. While these synergies exist on the components and industrial level, a much more specific approach is required on application level. But LEDs offer a larger freedom to serve these applications. This paper looks at the synergies and differences of using LEDs for general lighting and in display applications.
