Realization of Ultra-High Luminous Efficacy PDP

We would like to signpost for the realization of ultra-high luminous efficacy Plasma Display Panel (PDP) which has macro discharge cell. There were limitations in the improvement of the luminous efficacy of PDP whose resolution is HD or Full HD just by modifying the cell structure such as ITO electrode shape, barrier rib configuration and so on. Therefore, various researches have been carried out recently using the high gamma cathode material such as SrO or CaO in order to improve the luminous efficacy. However, in the case of PDP with macro discharge cell, various structures can be considered again since the discharge volume is large enough to improve the luminous efficacy further. In this paper, we will suggest several new methods to make good use of discharge space in MFFL whose structure is quite similar to that of PDP and the possibility of the realization of high luminous efficacy PDP with macro discharge cell.
