Fresnel liquid crystal lens with photo-alignment technique for 2D/3D autostereoscopic display

A simulation about Fresnel liquid crystal lens was provided. It can provide guidance and reference for the preparation of liquid crystal lens with photoalignment technique. Comparing with a gradient index (GRIN) liquid crystal (LC) lens, the Fresnel LC lens had the advantages of low operating voltage, relatively small cell gap and fast response in the 2D/3D switch-able display. Controlling suitable pretilt angle by photo-alignment technique, the optimized refractive index distribution of extraordinary ray for Fresnel LC lens was closed to the ideal Fresnel LC lens. Furthermore, a Fresnel LC lens with suitable refractive index profile could reduce the crosstalk in the 3-D displays.
