Fabrication of ZnO Nanowire Field Emitter arrays for Field Emission Display Application
ZnO nanowire field emitter arrays were fabricated for field emission display application by combining a microfabrication and self-assembly processes. The ZnO nanowires were synthesized without catalyst by thermal oxidation of zinc thin film. In order to improve its performance and fabrication compatibility with device structure, the effects of oxidation temperature and film deposition method were studied. The characteristics of the ZnO nanowire field emitter arrays in a fully-sealed 3.5 inch field emission device will be presented.
