Research Progress of Thermal Management of Li-Ion Batteries in Electric Vehicles Using Phase Change Materials

摘要：

Phase change materials (PCM), with its large capacity of latent heat storage and appropriate phase change temperature, can be used as an excellent heat dissipation source for electric and hybrid electric vehicle applications. This paper presents the principle of Paraffin wax as PCM for thermal management and the methods to enhance the heat conductivity of paraffin wax. Then it summarizes the application study of paraffin wax in thermal management of batteries in electric vehicles.
