Preparation and Biological Properities of Bioactive Carbon Nanofibers
Abstract: Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) have attracted increasing attention duo to their chemical, electrical, mechanical and structural properties, and have long been investigated for applications in neural tissue regeneration and bone regeneration. Having a high aspect ratio and high surface areas, CNTs show great potential in promoting osteoblast adhesion and proliferation. Bioactive glasses show excellent osteoinductive, biocompatibility, resorbability, and bioactivity, and have been used in bone tissue engineering. In this work, using a precursor solution, CNFs decorated with bioglasses of different chemical compositions (bioglass/CNFs) were prepared via electrospinning-carbonization technique to increase the osteoinductivity of CNFs. The bioglass@CNFs were subjected to biomineralization by being immersed in 1.5 times simulated body fluid (1.5SBF), and were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM and EDX analysis to indicate the bioactivity of this kind of hybrid nanofibers. At last, MC were seeded on the surface of bioglass/CNFs,in different time,we detected the attachion and proliferation of MC to determine whether which content of bioglass can increase the osteoinductivity of CNFs.
