Low-Complexity Channel Equalization for MIMO OFDM and its FPGA Implementation
This paper proposes a novel minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) block linear equalizer for multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequencydivision multiplexing (OFDM) systems. The proposed equalization is based on a modified band LDL factorization algorithm that results in a low computation complexity. Furthermore, the MMSE equalizer is implemented in fixed point using FPGA, and the study case shows that the area and the latency of our algorithm is smaller than previous equalizers who cost the same order computation complexity.
