A New Asynchronous Delay-Insensitive Link based on a l-of-4 LETS Code
A new asynchronous delay-insensitive point-to-point link is proposed in this paper. Such a link is based on a l-of-4 LETS coding scheme and composed of an encoder and decoder. In this papes, the original design for the l-of-4 LETS code is improved. Timing constraints of the new design are more easy-tosatisfy, and therefore, it is more robust. Furthermore, the new approach is implemented by standard cells, which allows the possibility of optimizing circuits with EDA tools.
