Design of a F RFID ag Baseband with the ummingbird Cryptographic ngine
Radio fre uency identification RFID is a technology for automatic ob ect identification. It has wide applications in many, areas such as manufacturing transportation healthcare and so on. owe er many RFID systems are suffering from security issues. In this paper we present an implementation of a secure F RFID tag baseband with a ummingbird B cryptographic engine using the S IC .13μm technology. An impro ement of the Gen2 protocol based on our secure engine is proposed to enhance security, he implementation results show that the area of our baseband is 1 gate e ui alents and the secure engine takes 23. of the entire die area. he o erall power consumption of our baseband is 3 . μ at a clock fre uency of 1.2 and with 1.2 power supply which is suitable for resource-constrained RFID tags.
